This time last week, I presented a keynote and two workshops at the Getting tht Right Fit Conference in Adelaide.
I was invited by Disability Policy & Programs (SA Department of Education), to share my education journey as a special needs parent. It was an honour and a privilege to address fellow parents and a range of professionals about topics very close to my heart. I was overwhelmed with the positive feedback and I hope those of you who attended really did get something out of it.
Because most of you weren’t there, I wanted to share my slides and resources with all of you, in the hope it might help you navigate your own education path. If you have any insights or tips you’d like to share, hit me up. I’m always looking for ways to improve my kids’ experiences and learn new and improved ways to run this marathon race!

There will be a video of the keynote that I’m hoping to share once it becomes available. I’m also considering running these sessions as webinars in future, as the slides alone don’t tell the whole story. If you’d be interested in attending a webinar or accessing further content on navigating the education journey, please let me know by commenting here on the website or letting me know on social media.
I’m keen to reach more parents and start influencing providers, to improve our collective experience. If you’d like me to look at a particular area of concern in a future post, video or webinar (education, advocacy, mental health, caring for yourself, dealing with therapists, navigating the NDIS, etc.,) please let me know. I want to give you the help and support YOU need x
Thanks in advance for your input and support – I really, truly appreciate it!
